Why Mantra Meditation?

Anyone can do it easily. No more wondering whether you are meditating correctly. No more worrying about all the distracting thoughts that arise when you try to meditate. No more analyzing your thoughts and moods. Mantra Meditation is incredibly easy and beneficial. It is a valuable skill you can use the rest of your life. Don’t miss this opportunity - your time in now!

Should experienced meditators attend?

YES! Even if you know and practice other styles of meditation, this style is a great tool to have when you need it. For example when you have big emotions, monkey brain, feelings of overwhelm, or are having a hard time settling into your normal meditations. If you are short on time, your mantra meditation can get you to a meditative state in seconds, maximizing physical benefits of your time in meditation.

What is Mantra Meditation?

Mantra meditation is a type of meditation that involves repeating a word, phrase, or sound (known as a mantra) to focus the mind and cultivate inner peace. Mantra meditation has roots in Hindu and Buddhist traditions, but it has become a popular form of meditation in many cultures.

During a mantra meditation session, the participant will typically sit comfortably with their eyes closed and repeat their chosen mantra silently or aloud for a period of time. The mantra serves as a point of focus, helping to quiet the mind and bring a sense of calm and inner stillness.

Mantra meditation can be practiced alone or in a group setting, and it can be done for as little as a few minutes or as long as several hours.

Research shows that mantra meditation has a range of benefits, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep, and increased well-being.

Mantra in Sanskrit means mind vehicle. The idea behind using a specific mantra is that it helps the mind settle into a state of deep relaxation and awareness. The Mantra is a vehicle to transport the mind. By repeating the mantra in a specific way, the mind can become more focused and less distracted, leading to a state of deep restfulness and rejuvenation.

Ann Malik’s meditation practice began when she was fighting cancer. It began with a desperation to survive but now continues with an awareness of endless possibilities, gratitude, and love. She set out to learn as much as she could to save herself and now that she is thriving, it’s time to give back and share her deep knowledge and inspiration with others.

Ann’ meditation experience includes numerous workshops, retreats, books, classes, and lots of self-exploration. Highlights of her studies include Mindfulness and Meditation at Brown University, attending meditation retreats (including that time she and her husband did a 5 hour meditation with Dr. Joe Dispenza), Coherence Healings, the Silva Method, HeartMath, and Reiki teacher training at Thrive Tribe Collaborative. Most impactful in her meditation teaching is her life experience of resilience, overcoming, accepting, thriving, and inspiring. As a teacher she believes in empowering others to create their best life through inspiration, intention, and belief.
